And this is characteristic of many evangelicals as well, who believe in the deity of a man who would most likely weep if he could see what atrocities so-called Christians have committed in his name over the centuries.

If a person can believe in a religion based on a man that is mentioned almost not at all in his own lifetime, only in histories that came later, written by those who never knew him, then that same person can believe in a man who lies, cheats, steals, stiffs, victimizes, slanders, and is mentally ill with egomania and narcissistic personality disorder.

I call this my "Jesus-Hitler" theory, namely that many afraid, ignorant people will follow a historical or actual figure, whether that figure is Jesus, Hitler, or anything in between. Many people just want to be told where to go and what to do, even if that is immoral and indefensible. That is to say, many people are as afraid and senseless as sheep.

There are many good actual Christians in the world. In general, they don't talk about their religion much. Extremists of any stripe--Christian, Muslim, Capitalist, Communist, etc.--cannot be trusted because they are basically mentally ill, believing in one thing and one thing only--to the exclusion of actual reality.

In other words, they have drunk the laced Kool-Aid.Don Quixotenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9263167.post-15068306751540978342018-07-08T12:50:47.797-04:002018-07-08T12:50:47.797-04:00I truly am befuddled
