Announcing Critical Condition

Okay, as previously promised, Blake and I are launching a new blog, Critical Condition, which focuses on the state of health care in the U.S. Blake is the kind of M.D. we need more of -- a doctor who thinks critically, and hard, about how to make health care more humane, more patient-centered, more effective, more cost-effective, and more just. So I'm happy to be a part of this project.

We don't want Critical Condition to be a conventional blog where one or a few people talk at the world. When it comes to health and health care, everybody's an expert. We're all experts on our own lives and experiences and the experiences of people we care about, experts on what makes us feel healthy and what we want and need from our health care providers and the system they work in. At the same time, doctors, nurses, other professionals and workers in the health care industry have their own special expertise and points of view. We want to hear from all corners, and facilitate dialogue. That means, anybody can e-mail a post of their own to Blake or to me and if it fits with the mission statement (go to Critical Condition to read it) and makes a contribution, we'll post it for you.

So check it out, and participate!

Great blog as for me. I'd like to read more about that matter. Thanx for sharing this material.
