Ugh, I'm too tired for a decent post after this very looonnnnngg four day conference. More to say later no doubt.
Meanwhile, here is an exciting set of design proposals for the George W. Bush Presidential Library. I'm working on my design, which is based on the chicken coop at my friend Art's farm.
One thing I will say about the meeting, the people who do some of the toughest, and most important jobs, get scant recognition or compensation. In the current political climate, they may even be vilified. Just an observation.
Discussion of public health and health care policy, from a public health perspective. The U.S. spends more on medical services than any other country, but we get less for it. Major reasons include lack of universal access, unequal treatment, and underinvestment in public health and social welfare. We will critically examine the economics, politics and sociology of health and illness in the U.S. and the world.
