IOKIYAR

As you probably know by now, an allegation that Joe Biden committed sexual assault in 1993 has surfaced. As you also know, there have been multiple such allegations as Donald J. Trump. The difference is, Democrats care about it and Republicans don't. That's no excuse for us not to care however.

Update: Here's an in-depth discussion of the matter from Anna North at Vox. You'll have to make up your own mind about the credibility and implications of this.

Joe Biden is who he is. Is the woman credible? I can't answer that. As I said, a plate of dog shit would be an infinitely better president than Shitler, who's recommending his vice president not talk to the governors of Washington State and Michigan (where I live) because he's a tiny, tiny, tiny, little man, to quote J. K. Rowling. In my mind, Al Franken didn't need to resign. What he did seemed, to me, in poor judgment but almost trivial

I vote for the dog shit, no matter who it is. I already have a problem with Biden in various ways, and not in others. I supported Bernie and voted for him.

But I think Shitler will be ousted before the election, in fact, much sooner than that. You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people [Shitler supporters] all of the time--but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Time's up, Shitler.

While it does seem incredible that he can continue in office, so far the Republicans in congress have not shown the least sign that they would even mention the possibility of removing him. Justin Amash had to leave the party, and Mitt Romney is in an unusual situation since a lot of Mormon republicans are turned off by Dump's behavior and are willing to see Romney as principled. But the rest of them? He still has 90% approval by self-identified Republicans. Nothing imaginable will change their minds, it seems. The party is a death cult.

I think Biden might be toast.

1) Corona Virus pandemic is pretty much all the new crowding out any message Biden has.
2) Trumps numbers are now positive, especially for his handling of the crisis.

3) On top of that, 8 women, so far, have accused Joe Biden of sexual assault.

Last week, the Cut published an essay by Lucy Flores, a former Nevada lieutenant governor nominee, who wrote that Biden smelled her hair and kissed the back of her head at a campaign event in 2014. In the week since, several more women have come forward.

As far as that rally 'round the flag bump in the polls, I expect you will be disappointed to learn that it is already gone. And will no doubt sink further very quickly.

And as you already know, more than 20 women have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them, and he has bragged about it on tape. But as I say, IOKIYAR. That said, I certainly would hope for a different Democratic nominee. Maybe Biden will do the right thing and withdraw. Bernie isn't the ideal alternative either but the situation is very fluid and who knows what will happen?

But if we're forced to choose between two sleazebags, I still know which one I would have to hold my nose and vote for. Only one is a moronic psychopath.

I'm not elated nor am I disappointed by Trump's numbers. All of that was just an observation. The difference between Trump being accused and Biden being accused is how much weight Democrats and Republicans place on these unproven accusations, especially during election sensitive time windows. Women's issues are a bigger part of the agenda with Democrats, more so than Republicans. That leaves Biden more vulnerable to these accusations than Trump. That's the point.

Also, one element I forgot to include that leads me to believe Biden might be toast is the delay of several states' primaries. I don't think that's going to be helpful for Biden.

Well yeah the first point is basically the one I was making in the post. As far as Biden is concerned, he's still the presumptive nominee unless something major happens.
