Apocalypse Now

For some reason the U.S. corporate media are paying almost no attention to the multiple disasters unfolding in Europe. Widespread crop failures, rivers drying up, massive wildfires, deadly heatwaves -- and it's just about to get even worse. The weather has been bad enough in the U.S. -- unprecedented floods seem to be the story lately, but in the long run, the Colorado River is drying and there isn't enough water to go around. Something will have to give and that will have to mean major agricultural regions go fallow -- unless a couple of big cities are abandoned. Take your pick. Drought in Mexico is also hitting our food supply.

So yeah, food will get more expensive. Which will be Joe Biden's fault, obviously. There is no way out of this in the short run, meaning several years. Humanity will have to start growing crops in different places, using different methods, and maybe some currently popular foods can never be in as much supply and people will have to change their eating habits. I take back the "maybe." And that's the least of it. This is what's real folks, not whether elementary schools are teaching critical race theory.
