I'm working on a book, with the working title of Health vs. Medicine in the United States: A comprehensive review and a vision for a healthier future. (Yes, I have a contract.) It's intended for a sophisticated lay audience and it's basically everything you need to know as a real person about health and health care in the U.S. -- news you can use, in other words.
