The Death Cult Goes Even More Insane

I don't think there is a name for this particular psychiatric disorder. Even very young children have what's called "object permanence." They know that if you hide something, it's still there. Now the "Administration" has ordered hospitals to stop reporting data on items such as bed availability and ICU availability to CDC as they have done for decades, and report instead to a new office within HHS. And so of course the data has suddenly disappeared.

Since the pandemic began, the CDC regularly published data on availability of hospital beds and intensive care units across the country. But Ryan Panchadsaram, who helps run a data-tracking site called Covid Exit Strategy, said that when he tried to collect the data from the CDC on Tuesday, it had disappeared. “We were surprised because the modules that we normally go to were empty. The data wasn’t available and not there,” he said. “There was no warning.”
So of course when people complained they got gaslighted:
When reached for comment Thursday by CNBC, HHS spokesman Michael Caputo said in a statement that the CDC was directed to make the data available again. In the future, he said, HHS will provide “more powerful insights.” “Yes, HHS is committed to being transparent with the American public about the information it is collecting on the coronavirus,” he said. “Therefore, HHS has directed CDC to re-establish the coronavirus dashboards it withdrew from the public on Wednesday.”
Yabbut CDC doesn't have the data. The only data they can make available again is historic data, they are no longer receiving the updates. That's the whole point.

Meanwhile, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) is prohibiting local municipalities across the state from mandating that masks be worn in public to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. This overrides directives from at least 15 municipalities. If we just pretend it isn't happening, nobody will notice. It's like magic! It will just go away. But:

Officials across Texas are planning for the worst, requesting refrigerated trucks as morgues near capacity due to coronavirus-related deaths.

In Nueces County, where Corpus Christi is located, Medical Examiner Dr. Adel Shaker wrote a letter to County Judge Barbara Canales requesting a FEMA morgue trailer, KRIS reported. The county already has one refrigerated trailer. “That’s why we’re asking people to wear face masks,” Shaker told the outlet. “I am now having to order additional body bags and morgue trailers. People have to understand how real it is.”
There are no words for this insanity.

Update: Because there have  been numerous misleading headlines about this, yes, they restored the data to the CDC web site as Michael Caputo said they would, but as I said, "As of now, the previously removed dashboard modules were back online. The CDC has also added language to their page announcing that they will not be updating this data past July 14." That would be two days ago.

How has Shitler managed to stay COVID-free? Dumb luck? I know he's got the "dumb" part covered. But all of his bad luck so far seems to be ours, not his.

That's the only event that could cause cracks to appear in the Republican death cult.

PS: Can't hospitals just do a "De Niro" to Shitler, and keep on sending their info to CDC?

What is he, fucking christ?
