This is a very good basic educational piece on the history of Medicare, how powerful vested interests made it not-so-great at first (quite like the ACA, although he doesn't make the analogy), how it gradually got better more-or-less out of necessity, how in spite of its flaws it's far better than not having it at all, and how it has a perfectly secure future if we just don't sabotage it.
Also, he makes funny jokes.
