We fought a horrific civil war to abolish slavery. It ought to be at least a little easier to abolish the White House Correspondent's Dinner, which is not quite as evil as slavery but it's up there.
There could be no better proof of the corruption of the journalism profession, how they fundamentally misconceive their role in society, than this disgusting spectacle of the people who are purportedly in the business of telling us the truth about the most powerful people, rubbing elbows and telling jokes with those very same people while wearing tuxedos and eating $150 meals. It's enough to gag a maggot.
No journalist with the least self respect and the dimmest awareness of the nature of their job should ever participate. We the people must put an end to this atrocity.
