Cold fusion and all that. But ...
Puzzling results from Cern, home of the LHC, have confounded physicists - because it appears subatomic particles have exceeded the speed of light.
I post this because as far as I can tell it has yet to be reported in the U.S. If it's true, just wow.

yes. particles going faster than light would be big news.
I AM ASTONISHED at how little notice of this in the news. If the experiment can be reproduced, then there will be a whole new area of physics to explore, and who knows - warp drives could result ?? :)
